Ball Screws & Lead Screws
Browse Categories
Ball screws are threaded steel rods with helical grooves guiding ball bearings in a nut for precise, efficient linear motion when the screw rotates. Lead screws use sliding contact between the threads in a nut and the threads on a rod to generate more cost-effective movement than ball screws, with some designs offering backlash prevention. We supply precision-rolled ball screws made from 1050 steel for durability and lead screws made of PTFE-coated stainless steel for corrosion resistance and reduced friction, all available in 6, 8, and 10 mm diameters with 1, 2, and 2.5 mm leads. Our ball screws feature cylindrical or flanged nuts, while our lead screws offer round or triangular nuts, some with patented Constant-Force Anti-Backlash technology that significantly reduces backlash by 2-4 times. Compatible with NEMA 08, 11, 14, 17, and 23 motors, many of the screw assemblies incorporate PowerPlus motor technology, resulting in 25% to 40% more torque.
