Ball Screw & Lead Screw Assemblies
Ball screws and lead screws are both threaded steel rods designed for linear motion. Ball screws feature helical grooves guiding ball bearings in a nut, providing precise, efficient movement when the screw is rotated by a motor or by hand. Lead screws, using sliding contact between threads in a nut and the rod, offer more cost-effective motion, with some designs incorporating backlash prevention. We supply assemblies with precision-rolled ball screws made from 1050 steel for durability, available in diameters 6, 8, and 10 mm with lead sizes 1, 2, and 2.5 mm, or lead screws crafted from PTFE-coated stainless steel for corrosion resistance, reduced friction, and minimized flaking, offered in a wider range of diameters (6-16 mm) and leads (1-25 mm). Our ball screws include cylindrical or flanged nuts, while our lead screws feature round or triangular nuts, some equipped with patented Constant-Force Anti-Backlash technology. Compatible with NEMA 08, 11, 14, 17, and 23 motors, many of the screw assemblies incorporate PowerPlus motor technology, resulting in 25% to 40% more torque.
