Plain linear bearings of the Simplicity® line feature a self-lubricating FrelonGOLD® liner for maintenance-free operation and reliable performance in harsh conditions, including extreme temperatures (-400°F to +400°F), dirt, and vibration. The bearing shells are constructed from anodized aluminum and are available in both open and closed versions, with inner diameters (IDs) ranging from 3/16” to 4” in inches, 5mm to 80mm in metric, and JIS standards. Standard ID clearance is 0.0005" per side, while compensated clearance is 0.0015" per side, supporting static loads up to 166,000 lb (740 kN). Optional seals made of nitrile, urethane, or viton are available for IDs larger than ½” or 20mm. Designed for linear rail or end-supported shafting, these bearings achieve speeds up to 8 m/s while dampening vibration for smooth, quiet operation. Interchangeable with linear ball bearings and some bronze bushings, they ensure durability across various applications.
