Compact Series Linear Actuators
Compact Series linear actuators have a low profile height of 23 mm, ideal for applications involving tight spaces. They can be tailored with two bearing options: profile rail (ball bearing) and gliding surface technology (plain bearing).
Profile Rail Systems provide higher rigidity and precision, supporting cantilevered loads. They operate at a dynamic coefficient of friction of < 0.010.
Gliding Surface Technology uses plain bearing rails with FrelonGOLD® liners, ensuring smooth, quiet, maintenance-free operation. Benefits include vibration damping and a wide temperature range. Plain bearings must follow a 2:1 ratio rule and operate at a dynamic coefficient of < 0.125.
Carriages conform to industry standards and can be driven by lead screws or ball screws, with lead screw sizes of 6, 8, and 10 mm, and ball screws limited to 8 mm.
Lead screws are CNC precision rolled with a lead accuracy of 0.003”/ft (76 μm/300 mm) and made from 300 series stainless steel with a PTFE coating. The Constant Force™ anti-backlash nut applies uniform pressure along the lead screw for consistent preload. The system can be driven by NEMA 17 or NEMA 23 motors, or manual hand knobs/stub shafts for non-motorized applications.
